If you don’t have any context with me, here is a quick high level on my real estate industry journey so far:
- Licensed in Feb 2007
- Formed one of the earliest/biggest REO teams
- Tom Ferry Coach for 8+ years
- Multiple Real Estate SAAS startups
- 10,000+ 1 on 1 Coaching calls
- Owned a brokerage
- I have worked in almost every brokerage “model”
I tell you this becuase I have seen this business from a few different angles that most haven’t. I have seen around corners you may not yet have seen. This industry is changing. Almost daily.
And that is a good thing.
But here is what is broken. Everything else…
- Commission Settlements
- Brokerage models
- Inventory levels
- Lifted interest rates
- Crazy inflation
Conventional wisdom states – we should just leave and do something else while this “storm” passes.
But what if it is not a storm? What if this is the new norm? I think it might be. You see in some markets, hedge funds bought 30%+ of the inventory. None of that is coming back.
Some markets skyrocketed in value with homes that have 2.875% interest rates. It is going to take a long time before those come back into circulation.
I could go on and on about the dynamics of the market today. But I won’t.
Here is what you need to know. Brand and Content is everything right now. The more you produce, the more recall you have. The more recall you have, the more opportunities you’ll get and the easier the sales process will be.
When I look at the current landscape of training and coaching in 2023. You have a lot of great options. Let’s talk just about events though. Virtual, In person, mastermind, and private one off scaling retreats.
